Company CEO and founding partner Gabriella Franzini will step down at the end of the year.
Eidosmedia, creators of digital publishing solutions for the news-media and financial sectors, have announced the retirement of founding partner Gabriella Franzini from her role as the company’s CEO. Her retirement, which has been agreed with the company’s board and planned over the last few months, will take effect from the end of the year.
Gabriella has led the Milan-based software company since its creation in 1999 and has overseen its growth to become a global supplier of digital publishing solutions to some of the world’s largest news-media organizations and financial institutions.
“It’s been an extraordinary adventure,” said Gabriella, “and I’d like to thank all those colleagues who have shared the vision we had over a decade and a half ago and who have worked to make it a reality.”
“Eidosmedia has played an important role in making digital technology work for many news and financial organizations and I believe that it has an exciting future in extending this mission to other sectors and markets.”
Gabriella leaves her post to devote more time to her family and her work with voluntary organizations like the Pangea Foundation whose projects Eidosmedia has supported in recent years.
“We thank Gabriella for the unique role she has played in the creation and success of the company,” said Eidosmedia chairman Didier Bench. “We wish her all the best in her future activities.”
Holger Hofmann, managing director of Eidosmedia in Germany, will step in as acting CEO while the appointment of a new chief executive is being finalized. The company’s board expects to make an announcement in the next few weeks.
The Eidosmedia group is headquartered in Milan, Italy and has subsidiaries in Europe, the USA, Brazil, China and Australia.
